Google has failed me folks. I was watching a Youtube video on Lawbringer, a mod that lets you claim certain bandit locations for an in-game faction and guards will spawn there, preventing the bandits from returning. Thus, I was wondering if there is any mod out there that lets you do the same, but with a custom faction or custom guards? Even if it's something that blends with the guildmaster mod?

So I've been searching on the Nexus and on Google and my searches have not provided me with what I'm seeking. I like the idea of mass producing ammunition, especially since the manufacturing was put into the game via DLC. It seems logical to me that we should be able to do this, and we can with certain ammunition. Some mods have added crafting tables to manually make bullets for certain calibers. However, I've noticed that these are scattered. I have 3 ammunition benches at 1 settlement, for example, that offer completely different methods of making different types of bullets (some can't even craft particular bullets). So, I'm wondering: Why have the weapon mods out there not added their ammunition recipes to the Ammunition Plant that came with the DLC!!!?? I'm not sure if it's difficult to do, or if I've possibly missed a mod for it, but it seems like with all my searching I would have found it by now. Is this not possible? I did see a Reddit post about someone looking to do just that, but it was from a long time ago and had no indication of how it went for him. Does anyone have a good solution to this? It's kind of a pain to hand-make 5.56 rounds 10 or 100 at a time for your M4, let alone ammo for your minigun.

SkyUI No Effect

Setup: Latest version of Skyrim SE from Steam, with latest version of SKSE64 and Vortex. Problem: Original - Skyrim Special Edition would act as though I had no mods installed, even ignoring the Alternate Start mod. Eventually I discovered that it would work if I enabled the mods in the in-game mod manager (hereby referred to in this thread as SEMM) . However, this has led me to my current problem. Current - SkyUI is constantly disabled by SEMM. This would be fine, if enabling it in SEMM worked. However, even when I enable it, restart and double-check, then launch the game, there is no effect. This is the case despite SkyUI being active in SEMM and Vortex.Tried: Checking plugin and mod list in VortexEnsured the plugins.txt and loadorder.txt are properly generated by Vortex and NOT read-onlyFresh installs of everything more times than I can count (going so far as to shift-delete all the folders, including in AppData).Just using Vortex and NOT SEMM (this was suggested to me despite me explaining my situation, please don't respond with this, I am well aware that I don't want to be using SEMM, I'm TRYING to not use it, that's the point of this post). TidBits: I have my AppData folder (most of my non-essential Windows folders, including MyDocuments) on my 2nd HDD. Windows recognizes these locations as the new default and has worked fine. Guys, I apologize if I come across as rude but I didn't know this was so taboo. For those of us that haven't touched Special Edition before, it would help to explain where the problem is when you're making posts. I was only using the resources available to me and your responses of "what?" and "I'm going to echo him, WHAT?" are not only unhelpful but arrogant. WHAT? LOL, that's how several Youtube tutorials are saying to do it. Just pack up the data folder within SKSE64 and drag/drop it into Vortex. Though, I was having this problem BEFORE I did that.

Note: Fresh install of Skyrim SE, Vortex and mods. So I've installed Skyrim on my 2nd hdd, I've downloaded SKSE64 and installed it by copying over the files into the game directory and then packing up the Data folder and loading it like a mod into Vortex (however I also just directly copied everything into the directory before that by mistake, not sure if that's a game-breaker). That said, I've grabbed a few mods, such as Alternate Start and when I launch the game via SKSE64_Loader, it just launches the base game with no Alternate Start. I have to deal with the beginning wagon ride, which tells me my mods aren't loading. However, when at the main menu, I used getSKSEversion and it gave me a version, runtime, etc. To be clear, I never had this problem with NMM. My next step as I'm typing this is to try to find LOOT and see if I can get it to reorder my mods. Any suggestions would be helpful, as for some reason I'm having a hard time with Vortex (no idea why they had to change but I suspect admins own't approve of my insulting their product).

Thanks much, I was able to fix it. As it turns out, one of the mods had a texture pack listed in the "Optional Files" section that I should have downloaded. *facepalm*

Hey there folks, I'm going to include an export of my mod order at the bottom of this post. Essentially, I have CBBE installed and Concealed Armor (along with a bunch of other mods) and I've noticed that men and women walking around have purple skin, even before you strip their bodies. They actually walk around with the purple skin (screenshots below). If anyone has any tips for me on this, I'd be grateful. NOTICE: I have already disabled Concealed Armors and it does it still. Thanks, much appreciated. I checked out your mods and a lot of them seem pretty cool. I'll grab a couple of them and some of the ones you suggested. Would that lighting mod take the place of an ENB? Because I never got the one I have to work, though I've never used one so I may just now know how they operate.

Grimdark Modpack

Hello World I am looking to turn my Skyrim installation into something "grimdark" (for those who don't know the term, I suggest you Google it, as it's a great genre). I have acquired an ENB (though I'm open to other suggestions) and a set of mods that I now have to reinstall because UFO screwed up my game. Essentially I would like suggestions on a "pack" of mods, that stand at the very least a reasonable chance of working together, to make my game darker, scarier, and make magic more fun (especially necromancy). I would also like to have multiple followers at once with a nice interface to handle them if possible. And in addition to this grimdark setting and follower mod, I intend to reinstall the extended towns and the business mods to increase economy interaction.

Thanks, you know I remember this from a previous install some time ago. I forgot to put it on the above list. It's a very well-made and involved mod but the castle always felt kind of cramped and clunky. I am going to check out that author's new mod though, about Utgard. Thank you for the suggestion :) . If anyone knows of anything else please feel free to share as I'm still looking/testing. Just trying to get a new experience out of Skyrim to keep it from going stale.

Hey guys, I don't normally post on these forums but I'm guessing this is in the right place. I'm looking for some existing mods that help expand on the Hearthfire DLC and the concepts therein. I was just curious if anyone knows any mods that exist that can get a player involved in some of the following: Hiring NPCsManaging guards/troopsTaking over and modifying a castle/fortEconomicsetc.In other words, a Jarl or steward kind of mod. Entrepreneurship, etc. I have tried the following mods: Guild Starter Beta (clunky, cumbersome, little reward, but close)Real Estate (mod conflict, I think, won't run)Trade & Economics (or some similar title that claimed to add traveling merchants, adjust prices etc. but I didn't see much in the way of results)Mercenary Company (Again, no real results here, not sure what we were supposed to see)Let me reiterate: I'm not looking to make a new mod (unless someone would like me to help test it), I'm looking for mods that already exist that might fit the description. I don't think there's just one category that fits what I'm looking for so I'm asking on here for ideas rather than spending 4-5 hours searching through the endless list of great mods by dedicated people (though they certainly deserve the attention).
